Watery Wednesday

This beautiful waterfalls was taken in Batasan, Biangan Makilala, North Cotabato. Me and my friends were there last year when my friend visited her sister who was from there. This awesome place is blessed with two natural pools of boiling and warm temperature, the hot and cold spring. The water was so cold but we enjoyed swimming as if it were our last. I love adventure, hiking, mountain climbing and water rafting. This is where I get closer to nature. To view more pictures of watery wednesday, just click the logo above.

Today's Flowers

DSC01443

This hibiscus flower was taken in my garden here in the philippines. One sunny morning when I walk around my garden I saw this beautiful hibiscus blooming in my garden. I get my camera and took a close-up shot of this beautiful flower. The flowers are large, conspicuous, trumpet-shaped, with five or more petals, ranging from white to pink, red, purple or yellow, and from 4-15 cm broad. The color of the Hibiscus grows darker as it ages. The fruit is a dry five-lobed capsule, containing several seeds in each lobe, which are released when the capsule splits open at maturity. This picture was taken in Bohol when we had a vacation with my friends just recently. In Bohol province, they are known for its big-eyed Tarsier. The Philippine Tarsier is a tiny animal, measuring about 4 to 6 inches (15 cm) in height. The small size makes it difficult to spot. The average mass for males is around 134 grams, and for females, around 117 grams. The average adult is about the size of a human fist and will fit very comfortably in the human hand. I was amused looking at him, I took a shot so when I get home I could post it to my blog. To view more camera critters, just click the logo above.

I took this picture when my friend and I visited Bohol just recently. It was cloudy and gloomy just as well she took the shot before it rained. The Chocolate Hills is a rolling terrain of haycock hills — mounds of general shape which are conical and almost symmetrical. Estimated to be at least 1,268 individual mounds to about 1,776, these cone-shaped or dome-shaped hills are actually grass-covered limestone hills. The large and numerous perfect domes vary in sizes from 30 meters to 50 meters high with the largest being 120 meters in height. To view more pictures, just click the logo above.

Watery Wednesday

maria cristina

This picture was taken in Maria Cristina falls in Iligan City when my friends and I visited the place. It is also called the twin falls as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfalls. It is a landmark of Iligan City. It is well known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320 feet high waterfall. It is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries being harnessed by the aguas VI hydroelectric plant. The power plant has 200 MW potential capacity supplied by a water flow of about 130 cubic meters per second. To view more about watery wednesday, just click the logo above.

Watery Wednesday

tinago waterfalls

This waterfalls was taken last year when my friends and I visited Iligan City. We had fun swimming and taking pictures. Tinago falls is a waterfall in Iligan City in the Southern Philippine Island of Mindanao. It is one of the main tourist attraction in Iligan City. Tinago is a filipino term meaning "hidden", the falls being hidden in a deep ravine. Going to the falls requires approximately 500 descending steps called the winding staircase. The falls is approximately 240 feet high, it is very cold water cascading beautifully into a deep and calm basin-like pool which appears like a blue colored lagoon. Under the falls is a small cave where people can enter and listen to the rumbling waters. There was indeed much joy in discovering the majestic falls. Even if it was a very long trip it's worth it. This flower horn was taken in People's Park during 72nd day celebration of Davao City. There was an open flower horn show called My Hump 6, battle of champions. They look so cute and stunning swimming in their aquarium. Their hump on the head makes them attractive. I was lucky to take a picture because my cousin had an entry there. This is his entry, he won third place.

I have flower horns at home too. These are my two fishes in a divided aquarium for them to have a free space for swimming. They are territorial and very aggressive, they will not tolerate other fish in their own house. As you can see, they have peculiar marks on the body or chinese character. When it comes to food, they are not picky eaters and they need lots of food which pellet. As you can notice, they are bigger now. I love flower horn fish as my pet because it is easy to maintain and I am always fascinated by just looking at them enjoying swimming.
