Watery Wednesday

maria cristina

This picture was taken in Maria Cristina falls in Iligan City when my friends and I visited the place. It is also called the twin falls as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfalls. It is a landmark of Iligan City. It is well known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320 feet high waterfall. It is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries being harnessed by the aguas VI hydroelectric plant. The power plant has 200 MW potential capacity supplied by a water flow of about 130 cubic meters per second. To view more about watery wednesday, just click the logo above.

The falls are obviously a lot bigger than the picture suggests. Good to look at and a great utility.
